| Date of Hike: |
Sunday, September 28, 2014 |
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking along side the road into Ravine Lodge, but on crowded days (like Sunday) you may have to walk a ways to reach the Lodge. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
All bridged. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails in beautiful shape. No blowdowns, mud pits, scrambles or broken steps. |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
This is a fine hike for dogs, with two caveats. One, there's no water at the higher elevations, so take some extra. Two, these trails are crowded, which means there are a lot of dogs as well as people. Understand that your dogs will have quite a few dog encounters on the way up and down. |
| Bugs: |
None. The cool nights are doing there job. |

| Comments: |
Could not have asked for better weather. It was perfect in every regard.
This hike was part of the Reach for the Peaks fundraising campaign for Dartmouth-Hitchcock Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Twenty-eight hikers climbed Moosilauke to raise money for breast cancer research and patient services. (A million other hikers climbed Moosilauke yesterday for other reasons.)
