| Water Crossing Notes: |
The weather has been so dry that all the crossings were really easy, and some completely dry. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
The trails are in very good shape. Many blowdowns were cleared at some point on the Mt. Tripyramid Trail. There are a few that are easy to get around on Pine Bend Brook. Very few branches down on the trail. One bog bridge in need of replacement down low. Many rocks to negotiate, which could be slippery when wet but were no problem when dry. Bottom 2 miles easy and much less rocky. Nice ridge walks. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
We only met one four-legged friend, who was focused on his mission. |
|
| Bugs: |
We avoided being bitten. It's late September but there were some black flies, house flies, a single gnat, and a yellow curled-up grub with a black stripe down its back. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Two people lost two pairs of sunglasses off our packs. Not hard to do. My record over time stands at two pairs lost, three pairs found so I guess I'm still ahead. |

| Comments: |
Great hiking day with great views of many things. It's somewhere between summer and fall weather-wise, with autumn colors emerging nicely. |
