Comments: turned left into woods where trail bends right toward hale. easy b'wack to base of big cliffs of n. hale. skirted left to approach from backside. some thickness at first, then ok to summit area. thick again near cliff edge, but great views after that. well worth the trip and only 5 miles roundtrip.
