Plenty of parking at the Cog Railroad, and nobody was collecting money. |

All crossings were easy. |

Just a few confusing spots where it was easy to lose the trail. |

My Jack Russell did fine, saw only one other dog. There is lots of water on the trail for dogs to drink. |

I was missing Monroe from my Presidentials. I was tempted to go up Washington, but decided instead to continue up to Little Monroe, then went down to the Crawford Path and took it back to the Lakes of the Clouds hut.
It was a beautiful day up there, hardly any wind, did most of the loop with just a sleeveless top, it was that warm. I also took that side path to the right, going up the Ammonoosuc Ravine Tr. at 2.3 mi. that goes to the base of the gorge where the brook falls 600 feet, that was spectacular! |
