| Lost and Found: |
FOUND: a men's medium blue/black North Face shirt about 1.5 miles up the north Imp Trail section. I packed it out and put it on the north trailhead sign.
I also found a cache of items on the North Carter Trail just below the Carter-Moriah Trail junction including most of a bucket, a washcloth, a brush, some sort of plastic and some other remnants. I gave these items the benefit of my extreme doubt and treated them as stash instead of trash. |

These trails are by and large in good shape. Portions of the North Carter trail are a bit narrow - which could be a plus as morning dew and yesterday's wetness on the trees can provide a cooling effect when rubbed off on the arms and legs.
Had Imp Face all to myself this morning and had some alone time at the higher summits also. Only saw maybe 10 other folks on the ridge and 4 others on the Imp Trail. I even got to take a small nap at the North Carter east outlook and later threw my feet into the water along the south Imp Trail section on my way out.
Lots of sun, nearly no clouds and low humidity made for stunning views and great pics at the various viewpoints. This plus comfy temps, a small breeze and a relative lack of people made today's hike a really nice one. |
