Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: I parked on Base Rd. and biked to the TH only to find out later that one could drive to the TH. Mt. Clinton Rd. opened today, though there are still of a lot of blowdowns impeding two way traffic. Parking at TH is dry.

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: no issue
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Now problems with blowdowns, just a lot of lean-ins where monorail is still in evidence
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: While I didn't encounter a dog today the conditions are good for dogs with lots of water available
Bugs
Bugs: I wonder how much longer I can say "What Bugs"?
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Found a Nalgene Bottle just below Monroe summit and later goggles at the cole between Eisenhower and Pierce. The bottle has KUA on it. As a retired teacher from that school I wonder if I'll find out who will claim it; quite a coincidence.

Comments
Comments: I didn't know what to expect hiking Edmands Path as there were no recent reports. The trail is in excellent shape with no blowdowns. Consistent snow cover starts about 0.3 of mile before the slab across Eisenhower's flank. The only challenge on this section are the many lean-ins. The snow is still 2 to 4 feet thick and even with soft snow one didn't posthole. While I carried snowshoes and microspikes they stayed on the pack and I ditched them at the Eisenhower loop and picked them up on the way down. Other than in the scrub, the trails are dry. On my way down I met several people coming up Edmands Path. I don't think snowshoes are necessary any longer and no one I met had on any kind of traction devices. Some even got up Edmands path and Crawford Path from Crawford Notch in trail sneakers.
