| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Tripoli Road as usual; many bumps, holes on the paved section. Opted for longer Rt. 49 trip out to 93 to avoid majority of these and the often one way sections of road with the busy camping weekend. |
| Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
| Recommended Equipment: |
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Only a trickle. |
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Couple of head level leaners on side of trail (middle section) that you may run into if concentrating on footing; Ouch!! |
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Mine would've had trouble with the Chimney or Bypass (they are small dogs however). |
| Bugs: |
Few mosquitoes at end of day in parking; no issue. |

| Comments: |
Nice to see lots out enjoying the day; from early teen ski racers to Over 50 group hike. Nice hike for all. We went down Bypass and up Chimney. No problems; just careful hand and foot placement advised. Osceola (by itself) is definitely one of the better NH 4's for an introduction to NH 4's. Little rocky; but no steeps, brook crossings, short mileage etc.. |
