Water Crossing Notes: Two major crossings rockable. Water flowing slightly high.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: A number of blowdowns, a few large trees. The section on Moriah Brook trail between the planks in boggy section beneath ledges and trail junction of Carter Moriah is litered with fallen trees and branches. I bushwacked between these two areas both up and down.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Ponded water from snow melt in places on the ridge for dog water source. Grete enjoyed Moriah Brook.
Bugs
Bugs: Some, not many black flies.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost-seperated myself from my hiking pole on top third of Moriah Bk trail.

Comments
Comments: Hiked Monday 5/17 and returned 5/18 after camping out off trail. Moriah Brook has little snow, a few mud pit areas and has seen little apparent use. My favorite route to Mt Moriah, the gorge section and the cascade section are two Wild River Wilderness gems. Moose sighting near the gorge.
