Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Steeper sections on D-A along Ridge were dry. Made passing them easier.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Jack the Keeshond accompanied me per usual. Some steep spots on W-C Ridge between D + A but negotiable. Look out for cliff that looks down into Carter Notch. Pup chased something on way up Polecat when I was 'viewing' and he got lost. He wondered over to Lift Lion. A wonderful little girl and her grand dad spotted him and he made his way back to me. Thank you kind folks. Was told later that Moose had been appearing way up there.
Bugs
Bugs: Bad on Polecat on way down. Bring repellant!!

Comments
Comments: Footing on Polecat was a bit wet in places but otherwise a breeze.
The ups and downs on the Wildcat Ridge made for a good work out. @ 9 mile hike in all. Have to do a bit of scrambling here and there .
It was overcast all day but clear enough to see Washington, Tuckerman's and to take in the breath taking vistas over and into Carter Notch from peak of 'A'.

Great day on the mountain with the pup!!!
