Many crossings are bridged on Zealand Trail, others are rock hops. |

A couple of step over blowdowns, brushing needed in some sections. |

Saw 5 dogs today. |

 | Lost and Found: |
Found one black jacket on the Ethan Pond Trail when I was going to Thoreau Falls, still there on my return so I carried it out. Picked up some trash and carried it out also. |

The day started out cloudy with wet foliage from showers from the previous night. By the time I got to Mt. Tom the sun was out and the views were really nice from several vantage points. Saw about 70 hikers today, most of them were on Mt. Tom or the Zealand Trail. I decided to take the back way to Mt. Tom this time for a change of pace. A-Z Trail was in good shape with only a few hikers on it. Headed to Thoreau Falls as it was still early. A few sprinkles on my drive home. |
