| Comments: |
The steep ledge areas in the mid section of the hike were dry for secure footing. There was some wetness on surfaces just below and above the steep ledge areas but the slopes were gentler so there was no problem for hiking. Plenty of ripe blueberries on the open ledges were a delicious treat. There were some views from the ledges. Mt Clay remained in view while the clouds flirted with the summits of the northern Presidentials. Mt Washington was buried in clouds. The summit of Mt Moriah was in the clouds at noon. The number 48 was fashioned from twigs and bough tips on a ledge just below the Mt Moriah summit. |
