Comments
Comments: up via Signal Ridge, down via Desolation and Carrigain Notch

All three trails were mainly dry and in good shape, but there are damp, slippery, and muddy spots on Desolation and Carrigain Notch trails. The Desolation Trail is steep and slippery in many places but not unusually difficult--no ledges and no real scrambling. It just takes time in either direction. Carrigain Notch Trail is easy but has lots of roots and loose stones to trip over, so it also seems longer than it might appear from a map.
