Comments
Comments: Posting this report to let those know who might find the ladder/stairs on Boott Spur a bit daunting (particularly going down), that it can be readily by-passed. On the way down the trail, about a hundred feet or so before reaching the ladder, and just before the cliffy drop off on the right begins, drop down thru the steep but hikeable, open-woods slope on the right, losing about 30 feet in elevation, then wrap to the left, and slightly uphill, to rejoin the trail a bit below the ladder base.
