 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking at the end of Pond of Safety Road at the Pond of Safety turnaround - several firepits to avoid in the turnaround tho :) Access road has short drainages that are like speed bumps. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Significant, Leaves - Significant/Slippery |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
rock-hoppable but very muddy banks - lots of little river crossings |
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lots of new trailwork (bog bridges mostly) along Underhill and Four Soldiers - NICE!!!! You know it's boggy when a big snapping turtle is laying eggs in the mud between bog bridges!!! |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
didn't see any, but, plenty of water! |
 | Bugs: |
didn't need bug dope tho there were flies or maybe deer flies |

 | Comments: |
Nice little loop not really well-described in the White Mountain Guide - a little obscure in places but I never lost the trail - all intersections are clearly marked.
Saw several people. Other than a couple of outlooks and some nice woods, this is probably a "once and done" for me!!!! Some of the grass was pretty high on the Four Soldiers Path. |
