FYI - a scouting trip to find this trailhead - Spoke with state ranger about the trailhead - Start is right at the Mittersill Chair - you'll see a brown sign on the ski slope - Mittersill Cannon Hiking Trail. Main reason for the post - in speaking with the ranger he did indicate that there were bears spotted in the area of this trail so be aware if you choose to take it. Looks like a nice trail though - at least at the base it looked blazed with yellow markets on poles. |
