First crossing on Jewell Trail (without bridge) was rock-hoppable. |

Rather large pair of dark red plaid men's boxer shorts hanging from a tree mid-way up the Jewell - must be a story there somewhere???? |

Excellent hike today - got pretty sunburned.... just a bit too sunny but that changed mid-afternoon. Big dark clouds overhead when I got into my car at 2:30pm - raining too hard on the Base Road to bother to jump into the stream. My first time on the Westside Trail - very nice!!!! Fun to see Guy at the information desk on top!!! Excellent pizza and cookies up there as well!!! |
