|
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Lot was completely full. Must have been 45 cars parked up and down the street. If you have to park far way, go get your Day Use Pass first and then park. Save yourself a walk back to and forth. |

| Surface Conditions: |

| Recommended Equipment: |
|
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Nothing bug a small trickle. |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in very good condition except a few slimy wet rocks and some loose gravel. No sign heading from Osceola to E. Osceola and no summit marker for E. Osceola. I blew right past the summit and had to back track. |
|
| Dog-Related Notes: |
Lots of dogs on this hike. |
|
| Bugs: |
Good variety of bugs with mosquitoes, black flies and gnats, but the DEET effectively kept me bug free for the whole hike. |
|
| Lost and Found: |
Someone lost an orange tee shirt between the two peaks. |

| Comments: |
Gorgeous day, lots of people on the trail. Saw a few people who were clearly wobbly kneed and over their head based on the their conditioning and the trail's difficulty. This is a serious hike in the White Mountains, even though it's listed as "Easy, Moderate" it's uphill the whole way up and downhill the whole way down!
My round trip shows 8.5 miles with 3083 feet of ascent and descent. |
