| Comments: |
It was a nice hike to Mt Moosilauke and three sub-peaks. The Gorge Brook Trail had the most foot traffic followed by Beaver Brook Trail. All of the trails are in good condition except Asquam-Ridge which had some eroded areas. The well worn herd path to Mt Blue is marked by a small cairn on the Beaver Brook Trail. A good view of Mt Clough and the wetlands in The Tunnel can be had from the western edge of the clearing on South Peak.
Met lots of other hikers today including a Californian AT thru hiker, a Floridian Dartmouth grad, a trail runner, an AMC group leader, and many local hikers including children. |
