Comments
Comments: Garfield Trail hard to follow about .7 mi. up from trailhead, where there are several potentially difficult stream crossings and no blazes. Must look ahead for the old road which the trail follows.
Garfield Ridge Trail (AT) is also unblazed, I was unsure I was still on the trail at a point roughly a mile from the Garfield summit where it suddenly turns down a steep streambed (which had significant flowing water). Lots of wet rock and mud elsewhere along this stretch also--took about 2 hours to do the 2.5 miles between Garfield summit and Gale River Trail
