| Comments: |
The section of the Tuckerman Ravine trail through the ravine is closed due to dangerous conditions. There is snow on some of the Tuckerman Ravine headwall.
The Boott Spur trail proved to be an excellent ascent route with some great outlooks to Pinkham Notch, Huntington and Tuckerman Ravines. Cairns marked the pathway above tree line. Decided to use Lion Head trail for descent to avoid the motorcycle noise on the Nelson Crag trail.
Diapensia, Lapland Rosebay, and Alpine Azalea above tree line on Boott Spur Trail, Davis Path, and Camel Trail. Snow patch just north of the Camel Trail.
Met many people today including two State Park employees (including HikerGuy. Met an AT section hiker. Lakes of the Clouds Hut was open. It was biker day on the Auto Road today.
Excellent views in all directions from both summits. |
