Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: One crossing on rock hops with a few rocks slightly under water.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: About 5 step over blowdowns. A few of these blowdowns made nice resting spots going up and back down. Moved a few big branches off the trail and also kicked open a couple of waterbars to divert water off of the trail.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Saw 3 dogs today.
Bugs
Bugs: Some mosquitoes at the parking area and the first 2 miles of trail. Bug dope worked well. The remaining 3 miles of trail were clear of bugs due to the wind and cooler temps.

Comments
Comments: No views as the ridge and peak were in the fog. Very windy also, so I did not linger on the ridge, peak or tower. Temps. from 50 up high to 70 down low. Nice sunshine on the bottom half of the trail. Saw 1 hiker coming down when I was going up and about 25 hikers and the 3 dogs going up when I was going down. Stopped to hike the Thompson Falls trail at Wildcat on my way home. There I met Nordic Gal. It was nice to meet you and chat for a while.
