Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We managed to rock-hop the crossings on North Twin trail and Franconia Brook trail but it requires some significant jumps and stepping on stones under water. Poles are a great tool for managing these crossings.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Couple of blowdowns on Twin Brook trail but they are easy to deal with.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Pepper and Cinnilla had a delightful reunion - and they had no difficulty anywhere on the trail. Some courageous jumps at the crossings but they handled it well. Plenty of water everywhere and we hardly used any of the water carried for the dogs.

Comments
Comments: The dogs, Steve C, John and I made this delightful traverse with weather improving all day after a rainy start.
Mud and water was to be expected after several days of rain. Worst section was the lower part of the Frost trail. Franconia Brook trail was surprisingly good and had fewer muddy sections than we had expected.
