Greenleaf Trail is very nice, Eagle Pass is spectacular, worth the trip. Garfield Ridge Trail is rugged but beautiful. Lots of rock scrambles both up and down. Garfield Trail is a "cruise control" highway in most spots. Sunny with light breezes.. Clouded up late afternoon. Light rain began 2 hours earlier than forecast during the 5 mile hike down. Had to walk the Gale River Loop Road out to Rt. 3. I waited a good bit for a ride back to Cannon. Two other hikers started walking. Went back to get you fellows, but you'd been picked up I guess. Nice day on the trails. Met lots of folks including one very early thru-hiker. |
