Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We needed our Tevas for the one crossing very early into the hike, but people of average height (or taller) should be able to rock hop.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Going up, there were many blowdowns, on the way back several had been removed! Thanks for your work!
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Although I've read one report of a dog who enjoyed her trip, I would be nervous bringing one here (sharp rocks, etc). If you do, BRING WATER!
Bugs
Bugs: Some black flies, but I got most of them before they got me!

Comments
Comments: I seriously overestimated this one! We had planned to do a loop, but it took me so long on some of the castles that by 4 PM we were not even to the summit yet. Much as I hated to ruin Prema's fun, I turned us around and we got back to the car at dark. Would like to try this again as a loop of Caps Ridge and the Link (despite its bad rep). What we did see and do was great, the weather was great, good visibility, bugs not too bad. Just a joke - you know those signs at amusement parks that say you must be a certain height to go on a ride? Maybe we could have one for this! Just kidding!
