Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Reel Brook road not easy to find coming from the south toward Easton from Rt. 112. Hiker logo sign not facing drivers in either direction and street sign has foliage growing around it (might be better in fall or winter?). Much easier to find coming north from Easton, as we discovered after turning around at Easton town hall and heading back south.

Comments
Comments: Reel Brook Trail was in great shape (thank you maintainers!) and easy to follow. Eliza Brook Shelter and area in great shape - the shelter is much nicer than some shelters. Kinsman Ridge Trail was in good shape, although it is everything the guide book says in terms of difficulty when getting closer to South Kinsman. Trail is clear with no major blowdowns. Kinsman Ridge between South Kinsman and Mt. Kinsman Trail junction in good shape, wet in the usual places, particularly the slabs north of North Kinsman. Mt. Kinsman Trail in good shape, the drainage work over the past few years in the section below Bald Peak spur is working and keeping things much drier. Great overnight backpack with Ethan and Cameron for redlining and peakbagging pursuits! Special thanks to the couple from Lincoln who gave me a ride back to our car so we wouldn't have road walk Rt. 116.
