Sawyer River Road was closed in the morning but opened up by the end of the day. No more road walks until winter. |

Baron had only one minor slip on a rock face. He avoided it on the way down. Had to be carried to the top of the observation platform because he didn't like the grates. |

They started to show up by the end of the hike but no biting yet. |

| Comments: |
Sawyer River Road is now open. The top grate on the observation tower could use some shoring up. The major river crossing was rock/tree hopable but it took some line planning. Perfect day to be out. Trail is in great shape. |
