Parking/Access Road Notes: Sawyer River Road was closed in the morning but opened up by the end of the day. No more road walks until winter.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Minor/Avoidable, Snow/Ice - Small Patches

Water Crossing Notes: Rock/tree hoppable.

Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Baron had only one minor slip on a rock face. He avoided it on the way down. Had to be carried to the top of the observation platform because he didn't like the grates.

Bugs: They started to show up by the end of the hike but no biting yet.

Comments: Sawyer River Road is now open. The top grate on the observation tower could use some shoring up. The major river crossing was rock/tree hopable but it took some line planning. Perfect day to be out. Trail is in great shape.
