The first 2.5 miles of the gale river trail are quite flat and easy and for long parts quite smooth i terspersed with really rocky muddy sections. Nice view at galehead hut. And a nice view of the hut 0.3 miles up towards the summit. The summit of galehead is a cairn, no view.
South Twin is 0.8 miles from the hut up up up the twinway but well worth the extra effort with 360 views. |
