Surface Conditions: Dry Trail
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: The crossing on the Tom Wiggin Trail was a bit tricky with submerged rocks but got across with some rock hopping. I did get one foot wet.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: I thought the Tom Wiggin Trail was adequately maintained for the little use it gets. I was impressed to see that someone had gone up to clean the waterbars. The spruce are taking over further up and at times, I thought I was bushwhacking. It's going to take a lot of work to trim all of those back. The Blueberry Ledge Cut-Off Trail was full of leaves and a sign that it does not get much use.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes:
Bugs
Bugs: Saw a few mosquitoes during the first half hour at which point I put on insect repellent. They did not bother me the rest of the day.
