Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Waterfalls on Web Cliff trail was magnificent. Large chunk of ice still remaining made for wonderful photographs. Mostly unavoidable monorails, pretty slippery from night's rain above 3500'. I'd estimate 5% of the trail had monorails, but they were often 20-30' in length. I found myself putting on and off my under-arch spikes (I'm old school) often. For an old fart like me, traction was a necessity. Bluebird skies everywhere. Clear view of MW from Jackson. The wet rocks and ice slowed me down a bit. Mizpah was full, a couple of large groups in residence. I didn't get to Pierce, but my colleagues did with no issue.

Comments
Comments: There was apparently a rock slide in Crawford notch on saturday night that spilled onto the road. You could hear the heavy equipment running until about noontime. We didn't go down to look - it was dark and we were hungry.
