Comments
Comments: damp and drizzley with smooth ascent to the summit. very little mud and good footing throughout. the destruction of the cairns on benton trail noted . beaver brook mostly good footing with some mud and slippery rock. asquam ridge trail decent past the herd path to blue (cairn) steep and rough for awhile then smoother over Jim. southern and eastern slopes heavily eroded ..looks like work crews headed up to get some drainage work done. pretty rough and wet in places. below the merril loop trail got better though evidence of high water everywhere. some wild flowers out in the flats down below but this stretch a couple of weeks behind some others as far as spring goes. thanks valerie for a good day out in the woods
