Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: We attempted the Ellis but turned back -- water was simply too high and too fast. We went to Pinkham and came up Lost Pond instead.

Trail Maintenance Notes: No issues.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Didn't see any.
Bugs
Bugs: Didn't see any of these, either!
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: One trail angel doll, near the summit of D. Left it there because it seemed to have been placed intentionally, tied by a bow to a branch.

Comments
Comments: There were no downpours today, but it drizzled on and off for most of this hike, making for a slippery scramble up the Wildcat Ridge Trail. This is my favorite kind of hike, but I don't recommend this trail when wet like this to people who don't love steep trails and scrambles. We saw two other hikers, coming down while we were ascending.
We were disappointed we had to turn back from the Ellis and take Lost Pond instead, but it was such a pretty trail, we were pleased that our hike started here instead.
