The little bit of snow left on the Hale Brook Trail really isn't worth mentioning. It was great not having to put any traction on today.
After summiting Hale we came back down to 3700 feet and took off in pretty much open woods for East Hale. There were slight ups and downs but it was easily navigated. A little bit of thick spruce on the ridge and at the top there were two cairns and fantastic views. Thanks to Beth Zimmer for giving us this list of "delisted peaks" to work on. |
