| Water Crossing Notes: |
Went up Sabbaday Brook early to minimize water. It was still high. I bypassed crossings 1 and 2, on three went high, on 4 high but had to stick a toe in the water and lean forward so I slid over the rock towards the bank. 5 and 6 were slick but ok. |

| Comments: |
Good day, but tough to find the right traction footwear. Felt like I was using the wrong thing 50% off the time. Used crampons to go up the "Bill Schor Slide" kept them on backtracking to North and then took them off on South. The south slide was bare as was the first 1/2 mile of the sleepers. Used snowshoes all along the sleeper trail after that. carrying them in places but snow is still 1-2 feet deep. There was moose activity all along the way in NY they would give them a ticket for post holing. Switched to micro spikes before White face and despite a rotting rail stuck with them to Passaconaway. The back side of Passaconaway was actually quite ice free and took them off at the square ledge junction. Met 3 people all day long. But got to freestyle dream walk all day long. |
