Comments
Comments: Could have used crampons, but microspikes worked just as well. Trail was very wet and will likely get wetter as snow continues to melt. The monorail is becoming unstable and the ice and gushing running water down the trail made for more challenging conditions. Still, a great day to be out. Significant ice forms about 1/2-3/4 mile from the tentsite. We put on spikes at this point and wore them just to below summit cone. they were not needed on summit.
