Comments
Comments: Conditions varied greatly, but the main theme climbing was a very narrow, stable monorail. Icy boulders also. Microspikes worked. Ran into snow on the trail almost immediately which lasted to the domed summit We treated ourselves to the easiest hike down. On descent, significant running water, mud, and snow. Still a breeze compared to the climb. Temperatures were warm, but monorail stayed firm most of the day. By late afternoon, it softened, but we barebooted the descent. Not much ice or slippery conditions. Trail was dry below 3,000'.
