 | Water Crossing Notes: |
All of the crossings were open. Was able to keep my feet dry on all of the crossings on the way in and since my feet were already soaked from the snow at the higher elevations I didn't care on the way out. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There were a handful of blow downs that you could easily step over or walk under. |

Didn't know what to expect so we brought both snow shoes and traction - ended up using both. Started out with bare boots on bare ground. This quickly became bare boots on stable and unstable monorails. Stayed that way until we made the turn onto Cedar Brook Trail. While there were sections where they weren't necessary, got sick of post holing and sliding around so I put the snow shoes on and kept them on until I got back to the same spot on the way back. Some in the group bare booted the whole way so it can be done, I found the use of the snow shoes (and heel lifts on the steeps) made things easier.
Did this one with Monica and some randomites. |
