| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Lots of blowdowns on the Hancock Notch Trail. I spent about 45 minutes cutting many of them out of the way but there are still plenty left. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Madison had fun. Although Madison did all right on Arrow Slide, I wouldn't recommend it for dogs and won't bring her on it again. Too much loose scree. |

| Comments: |
Started on dry trail with no snow. About 1/2 mile in I ran into snow. Not worth putting any traction on. From there it was snow for 100 feet and then bare trail for a hundred feet etc... Gradually becoming more snow, but I didn't bother putting traction on. I decided to take Arrow Slide for the first time since it looked mostly clear of snow. Ended up with a 1/10 of a mile bushwhack at the top. I but my snowshoes on there and kept them on across the ridge over to South Hancock and down to the base of the loop. |
