Comments
Comments: took the risk and headed up to NH despite the forecast for 70% rain all day. Started the hike at 6 am, only used light traction the entire way. Snowshoes would have made a couple of the steep parts easier, due to postholing, but for the minimal amount of times that happened I think it would have been more of an issue to take the snowshoes on/ off due to the lack of snow in some areas. Still a decent amount of snow on the mountains, In some areas my postholes were up to my waist. Hit North Tripyramid and made it to Middle Tripyamid in about 4 hours. Was snowing a little bit and had about an inch of new snow heading down. Rained for the last 45 minutes heading down, but overall a awesome day for my first solo hike in the whites and did not see one single person the entire time on the trail!
