one big blowdown up near cabin; we removed a few broken branches, etc..the brush up at the cabin site has been trimmed nicely and it's a lot neater.. |

we barebooted up until very near the cabin where we had to put on microspikes to climb the still snow/ice covered sections (with a few barespots in between)..couple of mud pits near the water bars (which were running good..nice views of Slide Peak, Gulf of Slides, Boott Spur, and Mt. Washington summit from in front of the cabin...view to Carter Notch getting narrow..also a view to Baldfaces from the summit viewpoint.. |
