Comments
Comments: I used spikes from the parking lot to Haystack Rd. Then in shoes to the top and back to within 1/2 mile of my truck. One bare-booter really damaged the trail and forming rail. It must have been a hard lesson learned...I hope:) The rain turned to sleet then to accumulating snow near the bottom of the FWT. This made staying on the rail difficult until the trail narrowed near the top. I was post-holing with shoes. The top received ~1.5" of new snow by 11 am. There is still more than 3 ft of snow up high.
