Comments
Comments: Firm and well packed trail with a 7 am start. Used microspikes all the up to Haystack, Lincoln and Lafayette (most of the trail is packed snow/ice- a few bare spots on the ridge). Once the sun warmed the trail, switched to snowshoes. The trail was still in fabulous shape, but saw many folks wearing spikes and crampons and NO snowshoes, so trail could have definitely changed... postholes likely. The sun and clear skies made for amazing views; enjoyed hiking with Sunshine, Joanna, and Brigitte!
