 | Comments: |
Trail was packed out and we wore microspikes all day, considered switching to snowshoes in the col between Mt. Pierce and Mt. Eisenhower as the rail was eroding and there were postholes everywhere, judicious step selection won out and the trip to Mt. Eisenhower was uneventful, views from the top were magnificent and the few puffy clouds against the bright blue sky were mere decoration (as observed by a fellow hiker). As expected the rail was quite a bit looser on the descent but still stable and in mostly great shape (except for the col). Great day to be out!! |
