Comments
Comments: Ditto what Lefty said about Imp Face. If you want to climb Carter Dome, you can climb in the AM with light traction. Coming down after noon, be prepared to don snowshoes. I wore Hillsounds climbing with firm trail. After lunch, they began to ball up as the snow softened. Took one tumble and realized I'd lost my right crampon. I wasn't going back for it, and put on MSRs at Zeta Pass. Wish I'd brought Microspikes. Saw 2 other hikers wearing them...Carter Moriah trail sign on S side of Height is buried in the snow and the trail looked untouched. I left Mt Hight alone today.
