 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Still some killer frost heaves on the way to Ferncroft. Plenty of parking when we showed up after 9 AM. |
|
 | Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Wet/Sticky, Snow - Spring Snow |
|
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
The stream is now exposed and best crossing was on the log bridging it. |
|
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
One tricky step over toward the summit. Lots of postholing around it to suggest others found it awkward as well. |

 | Comments: |
Bright sun turned the snow to a soft, sloggy mess. We started in light traction and switched to snow shows.
Lots of post holing made snow shoes dangerous in spots, but we were glad to have them. Choose footing carefully. |
