Comments
Comments: Started at 7 AM, temp 24 degrees. Started with microspikes, there was a crust over 1-2 inches of new snow. Cold enough in the AM that you could stay on top. After noon switched to snowshoes and hiked out in the slush. The bushwhack was tricky as there was no evidence of tracks when you got to the birch glades. Baxter and I managed to find our way, but not always on the broken trail.
