lonesome lake trailhead parking lot was CLOSED!! campground parking lot was open, but beyond full. kind of icy. |

well maintained. many postholes. |

plenty of happy looking dogs today. one of them left an unwanted "gift" right in the middle of the trail !!! |

packed trail was a little soft because of the warm temps. I wore snowshoes to the top , hillsound trail crampons & my "SLIDY SLED" for much if not most of the way down. AWESOME. I`m surprised that I don`t see others using these sleds. they save a lot of time & pounding on the feet. mostly they`re a lot of fun. |
