Comments
Comments: What a day! The warm temperatures and sun were a welcome change, but they made for sticky snow. However the trails were packed down most of the time; some wore spikes/crampons and created some post-hole-craziness nearer to the hut. The trail from hut to peak of Washington was firm and mostly covered- snowshoes worked perfectly. Because of the fabulous day, we made a last minute decision to hike Monroe and so glad we did- the views were phenomenal. Enjoyed meeting and chatting with Steve M. and Mike L. Thank you, Sunshine, again for a most beautiful adventure.
