Comments
Comments: A great afternoon to be out. After greeting a friendly dog walker on the first part of the trail, I had the whole mountain to myself. Trail in good shape overall, with the recent weekend's snowshoe tracks visible. I had to break out between 2 and 6 inches of blown-in medium-weight snow pretty much all the way up. Temps were around freezing for the first 1500' (Evo balling issues), then 20s above that. Snowshoes are a must once past the road -- otherwise you'll posthole badly - the route is in no danger of bare spots anytime soon.
