Skinned up, skied down, my first time on these classic trails. Hard-packed down low, with some crusty stuff off to the sides. Looser and softer surfaces up high, with big moguls in the upper 1/3rd of the trail. Taft in good shape over Mittersill and down to the Upper Hardscrabble junction. Groomed hardpack from there to the top of the chair. Rim Trail to the summit packed out. Great views clear to the Greens, passing clouds, good and cold for an early spring day. Had a great run down to the car. I'll be back for this one again and again.
*Note: To access Cannon via this route (in winter), you need to purchase an uphill access pass from the ticket desk. This will allow you to skin up/ski down their trails (skinning ONLY, no snowshoeing/microspiking/whathaveyou). I did pay the $9 for a pass.*
