Snowshoes, Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
Easily negotiated, spare for the crossing by the first washed out bridge on Gale River Road. There is a ladder you can use, but don't grab any of the posts at the top of the bridge or you'll end up getting tar all over yourself... not fun. Ruined my favorite pink shirt. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail is in super shape. Lots of blowdowns have been cleared/cut through! |

| Comments: |
Bare trail all the way up to 3,500ft (maybe 3 miles in or so?) - made for fantastically fast going! After that snowshoes were ideal, though the monorail was firm enough for light traction. Still a good bit of snow on the GRT as one approaches the summit (no snow on the ledges). |
